This actually is my first commissioned guitar. I still need to do a real setup, but I want to wait with the guitar strung up a few days. Back and Sides East Indian Rosewood Sitka Spruce Curly Maple Bindings Walnut Rosette Ring Brazilian Rosewood Fret board, Head stock veneer, and Bridge. Finish Zpoxy pore file on the back, sides, rosette ring and head stock veneer, Shellac wash on entire guitar (except bridge). Em6000 sprayed finish.

Nice Job! Is it a good idea to put a pickguard on a dred? Those hard strummers can do some damage... |

Thanks all for looking at the pictures and the kind comments. I do have a pick guard that I will put on. I am always a little slow to put them on as I like looking at the wood for awhile. .jpg)

I don't like dreads. I don't play dreads. Dreads are too big and ungainly and and and...then I look at yours and want to build (and play) a dread. Nice work. Love the maple bindings. |

Well executed - like Larry I am not a big fan of dreads - until I see one like this. The bindings look great! But I gotta tell ya - that is the coolest headstock logo ever...! |

Thanks all for the comments. I am not a dred fan either, but the guy who wants this one has a great OM and is playing bluegrass. They are big guitars. I had it strung with mediums and it is loud. I switched to lights, more what I am use to playing. I am considering shipping with a Bluegrass set from D.Addario. I got the maple binding from the classified section from Chris aka Sniggly. |

Beautiful guitar. Sniggly had some good stuff. Too bad he stopped selling. That binding is really nice. The whole dang guitar is really nice! |
